Biggin Hill Airshow, 03rd Jun'06

Not many airshows are held inside the M25 these days, so Biggin is really London's Airshow...! Hot and sunny was the order of the day, not many noisy things there as usual, but standing outside under the display line gives some chances for different angles.

RAF Falcons Parachute Team
Seen doing a lower than usual jump from their Hercules due to London's busy Airspace overhead

RAF Hercules
Came down to pick the guys up, and also flew a solo display later on

This was novel, an Extra 300 towing a glider - fast..! The glider then displayed on it's own!

RAF Chinook
Always impressive...especially when it thunders over your head

Utterly Butterly Wing walker

L39 Breitling Team
After a cross over, this jet dived down into the valley out of site of the show crowd...!

Learjet - Gold Air
An unusual airshow performer, but a private jet hire company based here at Biggin took part

RAF Harrier GR9 in the hover
(why - because it can...!)

RAF Typhoon
By far the fastest and loudest display of the day

Belgian AF Sea King
This colourful anniversary marked aircraft displayed

Red Bull Matadors Su-31's
New team on the scene, very polished routine, inc' this, where the pilots cant see each other

Sea Vixen - Red Bull
Looking great against the blue sky, still the only one airworthy in the world

Gnat
Flew a solo display and also pairs routine with a Spitfire later on

Twin Pioneer
Air Atlantic historic aircraft collection flew a great set piece...

...including one of their two DC-6 aircraft...

...and of course a DC-3
